I have been sewing and embroidering a set of silk ribbon embroidered jewelry bags. My previous bags have been colored in rich jewel tones. I thought I’d try something monochromatic for a change – silk ribbon embroidery in gold on gold.

Living in farming country, in the rust-colored land on the edge of the Australian desert, wheat sheaves at the end of the harvest season felt like a good way to start.
I think it came out rather well.
